TikTok World blows the doors off of venue, no one notices because the show was that good (creative director of copy, writer)
Every major platform has their big product summit. You know the ones: executives outline the big vision, engineers get to show off the latest builds and thinking, product heads take the stage in sequence to share what’s in the future. Usually there’s a big launch to make an industry headline.
TikTok World is our Big Show, and we’ve innovated every single year. I was the creative director for copy for both 2023 and 2024, and this year we had over 10 speakers scripted, talking about some complicated solutions (ad measurement, anyone?). I led the copywriters, worked closely with our content team, and we wrote over an hour of programming to show up big.
I also worked hand in hand with our production partners, I briefed and coached our speakers leading up to the show, and I made sure their confidence level was the highest of the high by ensuring their scripts felt natural.
